Important Announcement

As from 1st April 2007 there will be no further synchronized skating tests in the UK – Approved by the NISA board 27 March 2007.

Criteria for competition will be based on Field Moves tests and a table of requirements will be available on the NISA Web Site Synchro Page by or from Friday 6th April 2007.

This table will be reviewed annually and if there are any updates they will be made in April of each year.

There will be further announcements re coach and judge education.

Provision will be made for coaches to arrange for judge feed back on their team/squad status during the season.

The new test structure, which was considered, will serve as an excellent document offering guidelines of the level of content expected within the different categories and will be reissued as such.

This change of direction for synchro in the UK offers coaches and teams an opportunity to focus on their programmes and skating skills, removing the pressure of tests on synchro ice, which in all rinks, by all accounts, is somewhat limited.

For squads wishing to take teams on into higher competition skating skills are vital.
